Part 1: Installing UniSat Wallet and Setting it Up

This part of the tutorial will guide you through the simple process of installing the UniSat wallet and setting it up, ensuring you can easily connect to pSTAKE Finance.

UniSat Wallet is described as the home for your Bitcoin assets. It allows users to easily tap into the growing BTCFi ecosystem to trade, inscribe, and manage Bitcoin assets. With BTCFi on the rise, users are actively looking for the best wallets to hold their Bitcoin NFTs, and UniSat is one of the leading venues. To learn more about the wallet, take a look at this article.

UniSat wallet can be installed on both desktop and mobile. For the purpose of this tutorial, we will install the UniSat Wallet Chrome extension.

Let’s get started with the tutorial.

  • Head over to the following URL and click “Download Chrome Extension”:
  • On the next page, hit “Add to Chrome” to install:
  •  A notification will appear, click “Add Extension”:
  • Once installed, you will be directed to set up the wallet. Click “Create New Wallet”:
  • Set a strong password and hit “Continue”:
  • The following screen will show you your seed recovery page. Be sure to write this seed phrase down (on paper) and store it safely to keep your crypto secure. Once logged, hit the checkbox and click continue:
  • A screen will appear asking you to select your wallet type. For this tutorial, we will choose “Native Segwit.” However, a Taproot wallet type is also compatible with pSTAKE Finance.

That’s all there is to it. You have now installed and set up a UniSat wallet. The next step is to deposit BTC into the wallet so it’s ready to be deposited into pSTAKE Finance.

To do this, we will use the deposit dashboard on pSTAKE Finance:

  • Using the dashboard, enter your desired BTC deposit and hit “Deposit”:
  • An important notice will appear. Please read the notice and hit “I Understand”:
  • A UniSat wallet notification will appear, asking you to confirm the deposit. If you are happy to go ahead with the deposit, hit “Sign and Pay”:

NOTE: There will be a Bitcoin network transaction fee for this operation.

That’s all there is to it. After four confirmations, your BTC deposit will be reflected on the pSTAKE Finance dashboard, and you will have successfully deposited BTC for liquid staking to generate rewards.
