How to use Bitget Wallet to Liquid Stake BTC with pSTAKE [[Guide]]

This tutorial will guide users on staking BTC with pSTAKE Finance using Bitget wallet, allowing stakers to generate yield on their BTC assets.

Part 1: Installing Bitget Wallet and Setting it Up

The first part of the tutorial will guide you through installing and setting up the Bitget Wallet, allowing you to connect it quickly to the pSTAKE Finance BTC liquid staking dashboard.

Bitget Wallet is available as a browser extension for desktops and on iOS and Android platforms.  For the purpose of this tutorial, we will install Bitget Wallet through a browser extension on Chrome. However, each step can be replicated in all types of wallets offered by Bitget.

Let’s get started with the tutorial.

  • Head over to the following URL and click “Available in Chrome Web Store”: 
  • This will take you to the official Chrome Web Store. Here, click “Add to Chrome” to install the wallet extension.
  • Continue and click “Add Extension”:
  • Once installed, the landing page for Bitget Wallet will appear: 

Next, we need to set up a wallet, secure it, and load it with BTC to be deposited into pSTAKE Finance for BTC liquid staking. 

  • Click “Create a Wallet”:
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to create the wallet. Be sure to write down your seed phrase and store it in a safe place. You can view the seed phrase during the onboarding process by clicking the following:
  • Once you’ve set the wallet up, you should see the following notification:
  • To load your wallet with Bitcoin, simply search for BTC, hit “Receive,” and then copy the address displayed:

That’s all there is to setting up the wallet.

Part 2: Connecting Bitgeito pSTAKE Finance

 Now it’s time to connect the wallet to the pSTAKE Finance dApp.

  • Navigate to the following URL and click “Connect”:

  • A notification will appear, requesting that you accept the Terms and Conditions. Hit “Select All” and then “Continue”:
  • Select “Bitget” during the wallet selection on the following page:
  • A Bitget wallet notification will appear, requesting permission to provide access to connect the wallet to the pSTAKE Finance dApp. Hit “Agree”:
  • You should see the following notification to let you know that the authentication is successful:

Part 3: Depositing BTC for Liquid Staking Using Bitget Wallet

Now that we’ve set up the wallet, loaded it with BTC, and connected it to pSTAKE Finance, it’s time to deposit some BTC to generate yield. 

To do this, we will use the deposit dashboard on pSTAKE Finance:

  • Using the dashboard, enter your desired BTC deposit and hit “Deposit”:
  • An important notice will appear. Please read the notice and hit “I Understand”:
  • After clicking “I Understand”, a series of Bitget wallet notifications will appear, requesting that you confirm the transaction to deposit BTC into pSTAKE Finance. Please follow the guidance in the notifications and click “Accept” to deposit BTC.

Once the deposit is complete and the number of confirmations has been met, you will see your balance updated on the dashboard:

That’s all there is to it. You have successfully deposited BTC into pSTAKE’s BTC Liquid Staking solution through the Bitget Wallet.
